Gluten free bread mix!!

Hello all! I stumbled upon a site that has gluten free bread mixesfrom a gluten free environment! We received our mixes today and made(very simple) dinner rolls this evening. I got a thumbs up from thewhole family. Not all are celiac, but we try to keep everything thatway for simplicity. I would highly recommend these mixes and can’twait to try the others. The site is www.chebe.com. Blessings!

I went to the site and it sounded great but it listed dry milk in theingredients…i never saw a place where it said casein-free either.Do you keep casein-free?

We don’t have any problem with dairy. We aren’t big onmilk, but it isn’t an issue here. I checked my ingredients on thepackages as well as the site, and most are lactose/casein free. Themain, I think original mix is not. If you go to thehttp://www.chebe.com/product.htm page it shows more on this. Theygive you the option to add cheese. The front of the packages saygluten free, yeast free, casein free, and lactose free. I have thepackages in front of me and will give you the ingredients list onone. If you want any more, let me know. The only one that has drymilk is the Chebe bread in the red striped package. For examplethe “all purpose” (comes in 5.5 lb bags as well) which can be usedfor hot dog/hamburger rolls, breadsticks, calzones, tortillas, biscuits, etc., says free of wheat, gluten, lactose, casein, corn, soy, potato, iodine, and yeast. The ingredients are manioc(tapioca) flour, modified manioc starch (100% manioc), iodine-freesalt, cream of tartar, sodium bicarbonate. Made in a gluten freeenvironment.

that is so kind of you to type that all for us; I admit that I lookedonly at the ingredient list for the main kind and then assumed theywould all be similar. I would love to have a good bread mix as I havenot yet been successful with any bread. Thanks for telling us aboutChebe. I’m going to give it a try!
