Cracker recipe
Does anyone have a decent gfcfsfcf cracker recipe or,better yet, a recommendation for a premade cracker? We’ve alreadytried the Nu-World Amaranth crackers — I thought they were awful.
Also, just as wheat free doesn’t mean gluten-free, does dairy-freemean casein-free? I have found several snack items on the Gluten FreeMall website that are dairy-free but I want to make sure that meanscasein-free also.

If I come across a good cracker or recipe, I’ll foprward. As far as casein in non-dairy, yes it contain casein! It may be lactose free, but does notconfirm no casein. According to Sally Ramsey, author of the Cheerful Chemist’sNo Casein,No Gluten, Sugar Optional book (ARI’s website), she writes, and I quote;”The FDA considers casein as non-dairy, apparently at the behest of the glueindustry. Many foods marked non-dairy contain casein. Casein will be listed as sodiumcaseinate ormilk protein on labels. To be really sure, look for the word “pareve”, meaningneither milknor meat on the label. Rabbi’s answer to a higher authority than the FDA.”

Have you tried the Ener-G crackers. They are good. We sub tortillachips for crackers with soups and things.

I really like the Ka-Me rice crackers (in fact, I wind up eatingthem more than my daughter!) Unfortunately they are very crisp andmy daughter has difficulty biting and chewing them due to CP. Butthey are the best tasting thing we have come across since westarted our new diet.
