Normal poops
Hi guys: My son, 4 yo, has sensory issues, problems in preschool, andwe suspect he may have some type of HFA or perhaps also ADHD. He isverbal. We are in the process of having him evaluated. I am readinNancy Seroussi’s book, and it is very good. We are in the process oftaking him off of dairy (it seems like his eye contact and agressionhave improved, but it could just be my imagination, and we are off ofpreschool for the week so I can’t tell with that), and I think after aweek or so will go gluten free.My question is: his poops as far as I can tell are normal. Does thismean he probably won’t benefit from GFCF diet probably?

I would not remove it until tested for celiac first. Also, some celiacs areasymptomatic butthe damage to the villi in the intestine is equally as damaging. The glutenmust be in thesystem for testing to be accurate. If positive for celiac (intestinal biopsiesneeded afterloads of bloodwork show need), a lifeling adherence is demanded, but if a wheator othergrain is to blame, then you’ll want that info before heading into this.
