Constant hunger
Since the gf/cf/sf diet (3 months) and the supplements my son is constantlyhungry. Has anybody have a child like this? I thought it was a growth spurt butit has not let up. He eatss large volumes for his size and will eat anytime ofthe day.
My son will eat anything I put in front of him (some of the stuff tasteshorrible) I am amazed and glad especially when I hear about the picky eaters. But at the same time, is this normal??
I just find that some of his symptoms are so opposite to what I hear from otherparents, I wonder if there is something else I am missing.
Any views?

I realized, way after the fact, that my daughter was doing this because shewas eating foods that she doesn’t tolerate. She started saying “I’m full”and “I’m not hungry” this summer, a year after we removed soy and a coupleof months after we removed corn.
Look at your child’s diet. Rotate his foods and keep a journal. See if thereis a correlation between eating certain foods and how much he eats duringthe next two three days? If you can, I recommend you do an IgG test to seeif there are any other foods he doesn’t tolerate.

Well, you know, the test is not 100%. It’s a good roadmap, but it’s notperfect and it doesn’t include all of the foods we eat.
I think you should still rotate to see if you can find a pattern. Are therefoods he asks for more than others? If so, see if there related in some wayand remove those from the rotation first.
It takes a bit of detective work, but this is a good way of discovering foodissues. It is also a good way to teach flexibility in eating.

I don’t have any advice to offer, only comfort, because my son too is aconstant eater. HOWEVER he is very picky. He is constantly dragging me tothe pantry to get raisins, GFCF crackers/cookies, or cereal all day long. It’s exhausting because I don’t want him eating all day, so he throws fitsand pinches me a lot. Anyway, you’re not alone!

My son has been gfcf for 1&1/2 months. I’m having the same issue, hewants to eat all the time! I’m running out of things to feed him &he’s eating foods that he never liked before. I’m also surprised, soit’s possibly normal. The doc said maybe it’s because his stomach ishealing from gi problems and malnurishment.
