Is this gf/cf an all or nothing type of deal
DO YOU SEE ANY RESULTS BY DOING IT “HALFWAY”??? IS IT AN “ALL OR NOTHING”KINDA DEAL, OR WILL JAMES BENEFIT FROM THIS TYPE OF EATING EVEN IF HE HAS”NORMAL” FOOD ALSO???
I’m sure that maximum results would be with the whole program, but what if Iwere to try to start with things like the Hot Dogs and start REPLACING things slowly???

There is nothing abnormal about what we eat. It just doesn’t have any dairy, soy, corn or gluten in it. It’s still beef, pork, chicken, eggs, vegetables, pasta, etc. No. There is no halfway in doing the diet. It’s like beingpregnant. You either are or aren’t. You are either allergic or intolerant,or you aren’t.
Then, for example, some cookies can have as much non-fat dry milk in them asan entire glass of milk in just two or three cookies. So, with just two orthree regular cookies and a glass of soy or rice milk, you’ve had a wholeglass of cow’s milk.
I suggest you give yourself some time to prepare and learn about the diet, and then two or three months to try the diet and see what your child is likewith no gluten or casein. Then, decide if the change is worth staying on it.

After having our daughter on the diet for 3 years I relate the storythis way. Theory is this: offending foods tear holes in the lining ofthe gut, ultimately causing the “autistic behaviors”. Only afterremoving all offending foods, eventually, the gut can heal.
If you had a nice, new, solid oak finished, varnished coffee table, would it ruin the table to use half polishing cloth and half sandpaper?Of course it will. Offending food is like sandpaper to the gut.
It is good to take out one potentially offending food at a time so youcan see how it helps. If you remove more than one thing at a time, youcan’t really know which thing helped what.
