Bad supplements

Has anyone ever gotten a bad bunch of supplements? Our daughter started takingsupsabout 4 mos. ago and did very well on mag., clo, & zinc. Never didfigure out howto get her to take the Super-Nu…. but, we just renewed the cal. mag., & zinc, and she hasvomitted each night we’ve given it to her. Is it possible that we got a badbunch - doesthat even happen? Any info. much appreciated…

What brand is it? What else does that manufacturer make? Maybe it wascontaminated with something your daughter doesn’t tolerate. We bought someFolaPro a while back and Leah reacted to the first dose as if she’d gottensome casein. Their bottles have allergy warnings on them. Our DAN sold it tous and said it was reliable. That’s why I even considered trying it. I useSolgar and Solaray brands for most of what she takes. Solgar is rated KosherParve. Solaray’s been very reliable. http://www.solgar.com andhttp://www.solaray.com Both brands are available at Whole Foods and WildOats. Solgar is available at GNC RiteAids.

I came across them by looking frantically for calcium that wouldn’t causereactions. I was in the same boat. The Parve symbol assures you that thereis no casein cross-contamination. I can assure you that there is no glutenissue, as by now, Leah’s skin would show it. She gets terrible rashes fromcontinued exposure to gluten. Casein or soy exposure will give her animmediate and very severe asthma attack. None of that has ever happened withSolgar or Solaray.

Call Kirkman and let them know. If other people called, maybe they do have abad batch. If you have a Whole Foods or RiteAid, try Solgar for a few daysand see if she does any better. They come in tablets. Way back in thebeginning, about 5 years ago, I used to crush every single tablet with theback of a heavy spoon and then mix the cal/mag/zinc in her drink. Today, there are pill crushers. :-)
