Anti-yeast diet
I’m considering starting an anti-yeast diet for our son using BruceSemon’s “Feast without Yeast” 4 stages. We’ve been off yeast itselffor 5 months but haven’t gone any further with removing the mold, fungi, vinegars, etc. I’ve also got a prescription of Nystatin fromour DAN doctor. I’ve heard mixed advice about starting the dietfirst, Nystatin first, both simultaneously, in terms of die-off.Also, we have mixed lab results so I’m not exactly sure how toprioritize the anti-yeast thing at all: results showed no yeast bymicroscopy, low (1+) to “normal” levels of Candida Albicans, but veryhigh levels of one yeast/fungal metabolite in his urine.
How did some of you decide to attack the yeast problem? How did youproceed, what reactions did you see, and how did it work out for yourchild? THanks for your responses.

We started the diet first (primarily as an allergy elimination diet)and started the nystatin a few weeks later. The nystatin was startedat 1/4 usual dose and increased by 1/4 each week. My son experienceddie-off the first few days of each week and once the dose reachedfull strength he stopped die-off.
