Cost of chelation
We plan to do chelation next year. While insurance won’t cover it, wecan put money in our insurance spending account for it but need toplan how much money to set aside for this.
Could anyone give me a ball park figure of the cost of chelation? Irealize that there are many variables including how long we chelate, but I haven’t a clue how much the medicine and required lab workcost.

May I suggest you call Mike Payne at Living Well Today in Richmond VA. Youcan telephone consult with him for a fraction of what it will cost to workwith a DAN! Directly (although he is in Dr. Megson’s office). Dr. Megsonand Mike Payne have had our son Chelating (quite effectively) though more ofa detox, safer route. I have been so pleased to do it that way. We haveused Authia cream and PCA-RX. This may be a route that you can go now andthe cost for us to do the supplements, vitamins and Chelators runs about$150 a month. Just the PCA-RX alone is only $100-some and lasts for monthson end. You could probably start the process now rather than waiting. Thesooner you get started on a planned program, the sooner your child recovers. Our son is 6 and after a year of working with Dr. Megson and Mike Payne heis now off the spectrum. It has been the best money we EVER spent.

Are you sure that insurance won’t cover it. Mine told me thesame thing. If you have BCBS insurance and you’re using TD-DMSA itwill be covered. Let me know in the future what your child will betaking. I found out how to get insurance to cover TD-DMSA with a newNDC code. Most all pharmacies have been using the expired NDC code forthe past 7+ years with TD-DMSA and it’s always rejected. They have nowben able to get it to run through and insurance pays for it. Not justfor me but for all BCBS card holders. If you are on a 3 day on and 4 day off schedule then it will cost youroughly $130. per month for the chelation.
When you use TD-DMSA you have to apply TD-Glutathione first and thatis around $60-$75 a month on top of the $130 for chelation.
