Toe walking and sleep issues

Does anyone have a child who toe-walked all the time at 4 yrs old. Andif they have stopped when. Also, was there anything realated to dietthat made it worse or better. Another thing, did anyone use a weightedblanket to help there child sleep and did you see a benefit?

    Melatonin for sleep. Read http://www.autism.org/melatonin.html

Consider constipation as a factor in toe-walking, as well as mineraldeficiency.

    Isn’t melatonin like medicating her?

No. Most Autistics don’t produce it in enough quantities or at all.Melatonin is a naturally occuring substance that the body is supposed tomake. It is not medication at all. It’s a supplement. My daughter’s been onit since age 3. My husband, whom I suspect has Asperger’s, takes it everynight or else he falls asleep at work the next day.

Try it. You won’t look back.
