I personally wouldn’t give the antibiotics but that is my opinion. Mykids are sick with sinus infections also and I give them Olive LeafExtract. I actually give it to them every day and they haven’t beensick in months. The weather changing and all does have an impact onmost all of us. I upped the OLE to 10 drops per day and they startedto get better within 2 days. I am also giving 1/4 tsp of LipoGlutathione made by Wellness Pharmacy b/c in my opinion it reallyhelps with colds when they do get sick. Wellness turned me onto givingit for sickness b/c we normally use Transdermal Glutathione, not LipoGlut. It worked so I keep a stash for this reason.

Have you asked your DAN! or doctor about it?

For my son, a sinus infection meant yeast in the sinuses, soantibiotics would have made it worse.

When yeast is dying off, sometimes it migrates to other areas beforeleaving the body. So it might be yeast in the sinuses. Try theDiflucan for another week, add some probiotics, see if that helps.

My dd is a PANDAS kid (having to fight strep), and her DAN doc hashadher on 2 different rounds (30 days at a time!) of zithro; she alsoputs her on ketoconazole (another anti-fungal like diflucan) at thesame time to keep the ever-presentyeast at bay. It seems to work fine for her; I always seem to haveextra keto after we finish the zithro, and I just keep her on ituntilit runs out. I know some don’t believe in antibiotics at all, butinmy child’s experience she does fine with the zithro/anti-fungalcombination. You’ll have to proceed with whatever you feelcomfortable doing.
