Super low muscle tone
I am 41 years old with Asperger’s syndrome and had similar problems for mostof my life until recently. I began to see a DAN doctor and started on theDAN protocolincluding the GFCF diet. Through some bloodwork, I found I was deficient inalmost all of my amino acids among other things. I am supplementingdeficiencies alongwith the gfcf diet and I am taking glyconutrients. My muscle tone isimproving, I feel better, I am only deficient now in 3-4 amino acids, and Imove a little faster thanbefore. I have severe malabsorption (Celiac disease and a severe caseinallergy) so being on the GFCF diet is essential and it is helping to heal myGI tract. In my caseI believe the low muscle tone and slow movement have been due to nutritionaldeficiencies because of the malabsorption. I am doing much better sincefollowing theDAN protocal and the GFCF diet. I also have to note that I found outrecently too that I have sleep apnea and have to use the CPAP machine everynight butthis is also helping some with my energy level to move a bit faster.

my son was similar but not as severe. I encouraged him to sit on a smalltherapy ball or his hippity hop. the ball is great because it not onlyencourages trunk muscles to work while (don’t let the kids know that) playingon aball, but puts the plevis into a position that encourages better alertness orawakedness. ie opposite the “couch potato slump”
