I prefer the Yu brand. I does not contain carrageenan. Other thanthat, they’re pretty much the same. My son likes the three: original, vanilla, and chocolate. I can hide plenty of supplements in thechocolate brand. (I personally find them awful, but I think that’sjust a case of you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.) They aregf,cf, and sf. Just be sure you don’t pick up the soy/rice blend byacident.
It is expensive stuff. I buy mine by the case so I can get a bit ofdiscount. I also water it down when I’m not using it to hide supps, because water is better from my son IMO.

Carrageenan is one of those iffy things. Some people say it isfine, natural (it comes from seaweed). I believe though that isused to produce IBS in rats (I think I’m remembering thisproperly). As with all things I can’t be sure of, I try to avoidthem for my family as much as possible. For the rice milk, it ispossible.

I looked for information on the Yu brand, as I’m not familiar with it.Apparently, it’s Canadian only. I did find something that anyone thinking ofusing their soy milk might need to be careful of:
“Added multigrains mask the chalky aftertaste typical of soy beverages andalso provide a source of soluble fibre.” (source:http://www.foodingredientsfirst.com/newsmaker_article.asp?idNewsMaker=8404&fSite\=AO545&next=3 )
Can someone post what the “multigrains” are?
