Alternative to cream of tartar anyone?

I need to make iced cookies for thanksgiving, and I usually put creamof tartar in the icing to make it harden. My son showed high levels oftartaric acid in his last DAN report, does anyone know of an ingredient that canharden icing besides cream of tartar?

    Can he have eggs? Egg whites whipped into the icing will do the same thing.
