Newbie–very concerned about nuitrition
I’m new and am freaking out. My son is 22 months old and was verypicky before starting the diet. He’s been CF for a month but glutenpresented a problem because he was already down to 3 main foods(snacks have all been GF, they are easy). I took the plunge yesterdayand he’s now GF too and I don’t plan to go back but he’s not eatinganything but pancakes, Gerber rice cereal w/applesauce and Gerberpureeed fruit. I’ve tried every trick in the book, he will not acceptany chicken nuggets, which was his only meat. Hasn’t had a veggie in2 months. How long can he survive on pancakes for lunch and dinner.Doesn’t he need protein? I’ve literally tried all the recipes and hewill not even try one bite. I’m just worried. Am I doing more harmto his body? Should I get some sort of protein powder?

When I make pancakes/waffles I use Bob’s Red Mill Mix and I add to it peaprotien powder and calcium from http://www.kirkmanlabs.com. The pea powder comes withthe directions and other ideas to get the protien in. I also add the calcium tothe rice milk we use. Hope this can help you and your son.
