Why no vitamin d?
I know that humans can NOT absorb calcium efficianty in supplement form;therefore vitamin D is ness. to assist in the absorbsion of Calcium into thebones. I give my son the vitamins from Costco also…coincidentally. But I wasabout to purchase and additional supplement from kirkman labs of Calcium w/Vitamin D for the reasons I just mentioned. Could you enlighten me as to whythis is not a good idea?

Vitamin D and magnesium.
Too much vitamin D can be a problem. How much total are you giving?
San Jose is located where there is not much sunlight for the skin tomake vitamin D except in the middle of the day during the height ofsummer. You can safely give a “reasonable” amount of vitamin D nowthat it is October.

Declan only gets vit. D supplementation through SNT (100 mg 25% of dailyallowance). When I was breastfeeding him, my pediatrician gave him additionalsupplements because ethnicity plays into vit. D absorption from the sun. Darkercomplextion and heritages where the woman and children traditionally cover largeareas of skin MAY require more supplements of vit. D.
This was one of my concerns for supplementing Declan w/ more vitamin D combinedwith his calcium. I did not know of any “problem” w/ supplementing vitamin D. Do you know what the problems w/ too much vitamin D are?
