Could you please ‘fill in the blanks’? This sounds great. How much conf.sugar, coconut, vanilla and dari-free? Palm oil or shortening?

promised my son choclate frosting for a cake today - thenrealized that the recipe I had called for cocoa - which I did nothave. So, I set to the kitchen to improvise and came up with areally yummy frosting. I creamed soem Margarine ( Fleischman’sLight) and some confectioners sugar - then added in some meltedchocolate chips. It is very liquidy so I put it in the refrigeratorfor a few hours and bingo - it is really yummy - tastes VERY similarto Duncan Hines choclate frosting.

Any storebought confectioners sugar has wheat starch or corn starch init. My son can have neither, so I put sugar through a coffee grinderand make it as fine as I can, and that’s what I use to make frosting. Not sure about the vanilla, I buy the 100% real vanilla extract at thehealth food store, I know you can’t use the imitation stuff. No coloredsprinkles if you’re avoiding artificial colors/preservatives. Red #40is major hyperactivity.
