I currently have my son, Braden 4, in ABA 40 hours a week. It is yearround with only 3 weeks off. He loves it!! When he has time off heis so bored. Why would you pay for it??? I live in CA and I recieveit free through the county. Hopefully you can get those services.Where are you? I will help you get the services that your childneeds. ABA is great, but I also treat him biologically. It helpssoooo much. Let me know if I can help.

Hello. Are you getting the ABA through the Regional center or county program?

I get the ABA through the regional center and the county. jWhen achild is over 3 years old, the regional center and county split thecost. It is very expensive for them. My son is in a program calledEIBT (Early Intensive Behavioral Therapy). It is wonderful. He hasimpreove so much and he has just been there 4 months. If you haveany other ?’s don’t hesitste to ask.

Oh are you lucky!! Here in WA state most families are on a wait list to get evenbasic services like respite care funds, and have been for years. I was one ofthe the truly fortunately who got in before they closed the list. Basically noone has gotten through in the last three to four years at least. Even then, there is NO ABA benefit. In fact I have to pay out of pocket for a behavioralmanager and hire any aide our selves. We can’t afford to hire aides. We arejust squeaking by with a behavioral manger coming to our home for a two hourssession one time a week. That it. School up here will not pay for ABA either. WA is a bad place for state special services. But I must say, we have anawesome group for Biomedical. Our yahoo group has great info, research etc. Wehave to support one another, we are all we got up here.

I was lucky to get the Regional Ctr benefits. Even the school district wassurprised that I got the eval as fast as I did. I am getting 32 Hrs/monthrespite care plus diapers etc. I know they are busy, but what I found out isthat as long as you know what to ask they will give it to you.

Does anyone have a good frosting recipe? My son is GFCF and doesn’t have anyother known intolerances. I’d love a homemade recipe if you’ve got one. Also, did someone mention that there’s a Pillsbury over-the-counter frosting that’sokay?
