Anyone have a good bbq sauce recipe?
Cuyler’s birthday is next weekend and we are doing a gfcf buffet stylelunch for about 20 people.I want to do a crockpot of meatballs in sauce and would like a savouryrecipe…anyone have one?
So far I’m doing the meatballs, an artichoke dip, brocoli salad, nachos & salsa, sticky chicken and a potato dish (not sure what tho).
I’d love to hear other sugeestions for easy top prep dishes!

Pasta e Fagioli recipe that is pretty close to Olive Gardens - it is prettyeasy to make and tastes great… You can make it the day before and it willtaste even better
I throw it all (minus the pasta) in a crock pot andcook on low all day…
Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons Oil1 pounds Ground beef6 ounces Onion; chopped7 ounces Carrots; slivered (I buy pre cut)7 ounces Celery; diced (I buy pre cut)24 ounces Tomatoes; canned, diced (get organic - no ‘flavorings’)1 cups cooked Red Kidney beans (watch your brands)1 C cooked White kidney beans (watch your brands)44 ounces Beef stock (get GFCF brand)1 1/2 teaspoons Oregano1 1/4 teaspoons Pepper2 1/2 teaspoons Parsley; (fresh chopped) (I used dried)3/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce24 ounces Spaghetti sauce (use GFCF)4 ounces dry pasta Shell macaroni; or other pasta (use rice pasta - oromit.. you won’t miss it.. then it’s just “fagioli” soup
Directions:
Preparation: Saut beef in oil in large 10-qt. pot until beef starts tobrown. Add onions, carrots, celery and tomatoes and simmer for about 10minutes. < < This is the point I move to the crock pot, but I cook longerthan 45 minutes >> Drain and rinse beans and add to the pot. Also add beefstock, oregano, pepper, Tabasco, spaghetti sauce. Add chopped parsley.Simmer until celery and carrots are tender, about 45 minutes. Makes 4 1/2qts. of soup!
If adding the rice pasta, add just a few minutes before serving - it doesn’ttake long for rice pasta to be cooked (and mush) - might be safer to precook the rice pasta and add it right before you serve….
