Zinc deficiency

I’m fairly sure my son is deficient - teeth grinding, licking…but I have tried two different forms of zinc supplementation (ground uptablet and liquid), regular dose and low dose, and both supplenents, atany dose, make him pee the bed!

What do you do in this type of situation? How am I supposed tosupplement him if he has no tolerance for it?

And not that it matters, but I find this cause and effect totallybizarre….and frustrating.

Does the zinc help with the issues you wrote above? Because thoseissues can be caused by other things, not just zinc deficiency.

Zinc helps eliminate yeast overgrowth, and yeast die off can cause bedwetting, so you might be seeing that.

My son required a lot of supplements, none of which he tolerated untilround 50 of ALA chelation. Yes, it is frustrating!

So, what else causes teeth grinding and licking (he doesn’tnecessarily just lick his hands, he licks people too…and not veryoften…maybe he’s just being a kid (he thinks it’s funny)? The teethgrinding is pretty bad, though.

I never gave him zinc long enough to see if it helped, but I took himto a kineseologist today and found out he is NOT zinc deficient. Sothat solves that issue.

He did have 13 alergies, including one TO HIS OWN SALIVA and some ofhis own hormones. Got those cleared out. The doctor also killed 3strains of yeast, a virus, 2 parasites, and some bad bacteria.WOOHOO!!!

The doctor did say he could tell I was feeding him WELL! (Makes amother proud, and that he was not allergic to wheat, milk, or soy (westill won’t give soy to him, but good to know). He does requireseveral supplements related to fatty acid conversion and digestion(although he only needs No-Fenal, and not Zyme Prime or AFPPeptizyde). At least currently.

My son is not autistic, but has displayed symptoms of ADHD (he isundiagnosed because I don’t want him to be labeled, just cured).

So, I would be interested in the other possibilities for the teethgrinding in particular. Perhaps the cause was something that thedoctor addressed today…would be great if that was the case.

My son’s teeth grinding decreased when I added calcium and magnesiumsupplements.

Zinc defiency, copper deficiency, cal/mag deficiency, B5 deficiency, glutathione deficiency, phenol intolerance, and yeast overgrowth canall be causes.

However, whatever was causing my son’s teeth grinding appears to havebeen resolved by our kinesiologist. WOOHOO! I suspect it was yeastovergrowth, since the doctor killed 3 strains of yeast in him. Couldhave been phenol intolerance too.

Gotta love a doctor who FIXES your problems instead of trying tocover up symptoms with medications!!!

I’m wondering what’s the best time to give mineral supplementwhile doing oral ALA & transdermal glutathione chelation?

Just last week, we started giving him ALA on Fri, Sat, Sun,take a break on Mon-Thu. The TD glutathione is still givenevery nightly.

If I wish to supplement with minerals, can I give togetherwith ALA - will this render the ALA ineffective? Or shouldI give my son minerals on Mon-Thu to replenish the mineralsin him (so far, I only have the Ca+Mg+Zn supple) so thatthe minerals doesn’t get absorbed by the ALA??

The ALA will still be effective, but will pull some of the minerals aswell as the metals.

    Or should

Try to give calcium and zinc apart, they are better absorbed if givenat different times.

Some people advocate giving minerals every day, others advocate onlygiving them on the “off” days.

My son was mineral toxic, so I never gave them.
