Grapes

My son is HIGHLY reactive to red grapes and I was wondering if those ofyou in a similar situation had good luck with regular green grapes. Heloves grapes so much but I am afraid to try since his behavior was soscary after our red grape incident.

My son Connor has the same reaction to red grapes. He can have(some) green grapes but I never give too many at once (per/day) just to be sure.Maybe a dozen or so. I try to serve with other fruits on a plate like: Melon(he can eat his fill on melons), pears, pineapple or oranges (I limit orangestoo, maybe 1/2 orange at a sitting).

It was really obvious in my son. He was really edgy and everythingmade him cry then he started pushing his forehead around on the floorand turning himself in circles on all fours. Just odd things that Ihad never seen him do before. He is such a picky eater and so I wasthrilled to find out that he liked red grapes. He must have eatenabout 100 over 2 days. This is before I knew about phenols. -Heidiand trying to find out when a child has a reaction what the symptomsare so I know what to look out for.

We also get red cheeks or a flushed face in our household, alongwith the tears and temper. When I see this physical symptom, I knowfor sure we have overdone the phenols–this week it was from coldmedicine with coloring in it…
