Question about gf stuff and recipes
I saw baking mixes and have a cookbook that is gluten free. Does thatmean that it is also casien free as long as I don’t add milk orbutter?

There are several ingredients that have it in there but you should know whenyou read them, when in question type it in as a cross refernce online to seewhat it actually translates too. If you are makling it from scrtach normallyapplejuice, soy or lemon juice and sometime oil will be substitutued for themilk/casein

The book itself is NOT casein free, just gluten free, from what yousaid. But yes, you CAN simply subsitute safe products for any dairyproducts in the recipes–same as any standard recipes you come across. For example, I still use many of my old recipes, but subsitute ricemilk, and Bette Hagman’s flour mixes, for the liquid milk and wheatflour in these recipes.
