Could it be yeast?
My 4 yr old daughter has been GFCF since May of Last year. Westarted on scd first for 4 months and decided that it was toodifficult to maintain and make sure everyone else did also. I have 5children so it is extremely hard. We switched to GFCF in July. Ihave noticed over the last couple of months that she does not sleepat night well and does jump around all the time even at night. Shehas always had a problem with mouthing her clothes and toe walksconstantly. She jumps and can’t sit still. When she was SCD she didcalm down a little however her stools were much messier. Now we didhave food sensitivity testing since then and she did havesensitivites to many of the foods she was eating. Bananas, eggs, andall citrus among others. She has this bumpy red rash on her bottomand since she started on dietary intervention we can not get it togo away. It does not bother all the time unless it gets worse aftera bowel movement. The rash is not anywhere else. Amy thoughts orsuggestions would be greatly appreciated. My gut is telling me shedoes have yeast overgrowth even though the stool sample did not showthat.

Commonly phenol intolerance and/or yeast
For many kids, zinc deficiency. For my #3, eating foods not toleratedor yeast overgrowth.

Eliminating cane sugar and corn syrup is a good idea. Other sugarsyou should reduce. Carbs you should reduce. SCD works for many kids, but it has fruit sugar in it. Some kids don’t do well with that.Others do well with SCD.
Basically, it depends on what works for your child. Some kids do wellwith SCD, some do very badly with it, others don’t show much change.
