High titers of mumps & rubella - how do you treat this?

My 4 year old son had titers checked for the following:Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diptheria, and Polio.

He has titers for all of them and some of the levels are pretty high, especially the Mumps, Rubella, and Measles. Here are the results:

Mumps score was 3.14 where a score of 1.10 is positiveRubella score was 2.91 where a score of 1.10 is positiveMeasles score was 1.92 where a score of 1.10 is positive

Diptheria score was 0.54 where a score of 0.01 is positivePolio score was 1.12 where a score of 1.12 is positive

I am very concerned with the high levels of Mumps and Rubella,Measles, and Diptheria. I am not sure what steps to take. Is itpossible to bring these levels down? I’ve heard of using high dosesof Vitamin A for Measles but is there anything to use for the Mumpsand Rubella? Any guidance on what to do or treat this would be soappreciated. We have not had a lot of gains on the diet (8 monthsnow, and soy free for 4 months) so I’m wondering if it’s because ofthese viruses.

Talk to your DAN! about treating it with Acyclovir. We had a Rubellalevel of 6.2 which means chronic viral infection. Treating it withAcyclovir.

Can you tell me which lab you were able to get titers with numbers, especiallyfor measles? When we had our daughter’s levels checked a few years ago, we onlygot an “immune” rating but with no number for that one, and I’m very curious toknow.

I have done that several times and missed a reply. I’ll have to askmy pediatrician and see if we can get the tests covered, as I think our HMO usedto use them (don’t know if they still do). I don’t know who did the testing whenwe just got the “immune/not immune” information a few years ago, but will haveto check.

We got ours done at Lab Corp. I never paid attention to the numbersbefore, I was only interested in her “immune” rating but now I am payingattention! I don’t know what high numbers mean, if anyone can help I wouldbe so grateful!
