Cookware with copper bottom

I am shopping around for cookware for my son who is high functioningautistic, and I’ve read in earlier posts that stainless steel is ok.My question is… Is there such a thing as pure stainless steelcookware with no aluminum or copper cores? Even the really NICEstainless steel cookware has an aluminum core covered with stainlesssteel. The other choice is copper bottom. Are iron skilletsharmful to children? Suggestions of brand names and stores wouldbe appreciated. Thanks!

Cast iron, Glass, stainless steel and stoneware (i.e. clay pot cookers)are all safe for cooking. Most professional stainless doe not have acopper bottom. You Target, Kohls, Walmart and Kmart typw chain storescarry mostly coper bottom. If you can get yourself to a Le GourmetChef or look online (http://www.legourmetchef.com/), their Tri-Plybrand is excellent and a good price. I love their cookware.

Otherwise you’ll have to fall prey to Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, and upscale department store prices.
