Sleeping problems

Sometimes there is a reation to outside irritations that are non foodrelated, esp. bug sprays, paint, solvents, swimming pool chemicals, molds, pollen, dust. Does this happen at certain times of the year? Mychildren and myself react very badly to most of these items in the air, water. Is there anything new in the room? Carpet, paneling, furniturecan be toxic while new. If you can’t pin it down and as a goodoccasional emergency solution try melatonin, a hormone sold at HFS forsleep problems. The trick is to spray it in the mouth, a tiny amountand then within twenty minutes put to bed in a dark room. It won’t workin a lit room because it functions by telling the brain it is time itsleep but only in the dark. Many adults use this product to reset theirsleep clocks after traveling or shift changes, I do. It does work butuse a tiny amount of the adult dose, some people report deep vividdreaming on large doses. Make sure that you aren’t stimulating the brain or body the lasthour before sleep, some food additives and artificial colors causehyperactivity and abnormal excititory states, and I would use a epsomsalt bath before bed to relax. If nothing else works, you might try Tenex, a small dose is widelyused to help sleep and anxiety. It is a blood pressure medicine but hasbeen used a lot in the population, even on very young children.

I really need help! My 6 year old son diagnosed with Aspergers hasbeen GFCF for almost a year now. The problem is that he has aterrible time falling asleep at night and is impossible to wake up forschool. His teachers say he often leans on the desk during the day asif he is very tired. Here is what we have tried so far(not all at thesame time): Brushing and joint compression before bed, deep pressurewith a physioball before bed, “Dolphin dreams” tape playing after thelights are out, bath before bed, reading a book before bed, thickdrink through a straw at dinnertime. The “dolphin dreams” seemed towork great the first week we tried it but is not working any more. Ialso have “Chakra Chants” but he really doesn’t seem to like that. Ialso wake him up early on the weekends to prevent him from resettinghis time clock. I do not like medicating but might be willing to trya supplement if it is easy to give (he will not take most things–theonly thing we get into him on a regular basis is the strawberry DHAsupplement and Gummi Vites.)

    Phenol intolerance can do this

    http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm

Put epsom salts in the bath, see the bottom of my link above.

What is in the drink? If it is milk or fruit based, that will keephim awake. Corn will do it for some kids.

Both of those items are high phenol. If you don’t want to removethem, consider the epsom salt baths, or No-Fenol enzyme
