Does chickpea flour(garbanzo) feed yeast ?

Does chickpea flour aka garbanzo flour(also called Besan) feed ?My son seems to like anything made from this flour.

This flour is rich in proteins though.

    Quinoa flour is even richer in protiens and is considered a completeprotien at that.
