Tummy ache/head ache… testing
Okay, I have been “starting to see the signs” of all this”allergy/intolerance” stuff now that I know what to look for more.
We are not on any of the diet yet, just experimenting with diary free/wheatfree products this week. My idea is to do “dairy free” first and see how thatworks.
I have a message in to ask his doctors for testing.
BUT HERE IS WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY…
Last night he “cleaned his plate”, but I am gathering with his conditions hedoesn’t know when he is full (we are just realizing THAT one) and then hewatched tv. well, he was HUNGRY so he asked for the “usual snacks”, which Idon’t have any “special snacks” yet except for the Cutie Frozen Treats which heloves. Sooo, he ate lots of pretzels and white bread toast. I know, I know, that sounds bad, but it’s his “usual”.
By the time it was time for bed, he complained of a “tummy ache”. Soo, LIGHTBULB, maybe it was the wheat???
This morning he woke up with “mommmmm, my tummy hurrrts” and “I have aheaddddache”.
After evaluating this I found that his “headache” is on the forehead belowhis hair line. And his tummy ache is around the belly button about hand size.No where else is hurting.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE AN INTOLERANCE HEADACHE AND TUMMYACHE????
I have a call into his doctor now and hopefully (fingers crossed) she willbe open to testing.
Someone said to get the…Urinary Peptides test and the Celiac Panel done FIRST before going on anydiet, so to have base line numbers to work with.
Is there anything else I should ask for in the beginning? I know I sawmessage about all these tests, sorry I didn’t keep it. Hmm, I wonder if Dana’ssite has all this on it? Sorry, I don’t have time to check right now. But wouldappreciate any “lists” that would be necessary to find out if James isintolerant to Dairy, Casien, Gluten, Wheat and of course, anything else, but that’swhat I’m thinking of right now.
ANY SUGGESTIONS???

From what it sounds like to me and what we experienced with our son, hemight be trying to eat tons of glutinous foods and binging to get the opiodeffect he normally gets from the casein in dairy.
My son did just this when we took milk away. He then craved Cheerios andone day climbed the shelves in the pantry to get to the box. He had justturned 2. Once he knocked the box down and as I was approaching him quicklyso he wouldn’t get hurt, he DOVE off the top shelf onto the floor andstarted to shovel as many Cheerios as he could. He was craving that high heused to get with the dairy products and was compensating…at leasttrying…with the gluten in foods.
He may have a tummy and head ache from the gluten along with over eating.
With regard to testing, my son does not show that he is sensitive orintolerant of gluten. However, I know very quickly that he’s had glutenbecause of his behaviors. Testing doesn’t always tell you everything. Myson is allergic to oats, but reacts the same with rye or wheat. So, I steerclear of anything with gluten.
Just an FYI, soy resembles casein once broken down in the body, so thatmight become an issue in the future for you as well.
I hope all goes well with the tummy ache, and best wishes to you.
