Midel’s cookies are rated Kosher Dairy. That alone is an indication of thepossibility of casein cross-contamination. A rating of Kosher Parve meansthat there is no chance of cross-contamination with dairy.

Kosher Dairy means that they actually contain dairy products orderivatives.
A kosher sign with DE in small letters underneath and to the rightside of the kosher sign means that it is processed on DairyEquipment. While the product is technically dairy free, there can becross contamination.
Kosher Pareve (also spelled Parve) means that the product does notcontain any animal meat or milk products at all. For those with eggsenstitivies, eggs are considered pareve for kosher purposes, as arefish.
Towards the spring, you may begin to see a kosher symbol with acapital P next to it. This means that the product is kosher forPassover, not that the product is Pareve. Be careful.

I’ve been giving my son the Midel Ginger Snaps for years. I justlooked at the bag and it says has a K with the word diary underneath.Isn’t this just to indicate the egg whites? Have they changed? Theyused to be on the food list and I notice they are not? I can’t seeanything in the ingredients that would be casein.
