Pareve (candy corn)
I just went to the chocolat emporium website Halloween ingredients list andfirst thing with the ingredients was chocolate novelties may contain traceamounts of dairy and that does not compromise the pareve status. I thought thatpareve was no dairy or dairy derivatives. Can some one who knows more aboutthis help me out. They did have candy corn that looked ok but now I am afraidto get it!

I was thinking about ordering some trick-or-treat goodies from theOriental Trading Company. They have lot’s of stuff to choose fromand plenty of inexpensive cool TOY’S (instead of candy). I go thereto get my daughter’s class treats that they can all share and youdon’t have to worry about allergies! I don’t have the website, buttype the name into any search engine and I’m sure you’ll find it!

We’re handing out Smarties - they’re gluten & casein free.

Unfortunately I think Smarties have milk in them - the second ingredient ismodified milk ingredients. It’s too bad - my son would love to have them. We’ve ordered Whizzers chocolate beans from Miss Robens. They’re as closeto smarties that we’ve found & my son loves them.

Smarties by CeDe are supposed to be GFCF. I have been giving them tomy son for years. I understand those made in Canada are not GFCF.

I just realized you are thinking of the Smarties that havechocolate in them made by I believe Nestle. That is a completelydifferent candy. I believe the Smarties referred to are pastelcolored little disks that come about 10 in a clear pastic wrapper. Those are the candies that are GFCF. They are similar in taste toPez which are also GFCF.
