I want to order some for my daughter (7) but there were severaldifferent types on Kirkman’s site-any recommendations? If its acapsul it will have to be opened since my daughter won’y swallow themso taste is a consideration.

Anybody have a preferred brand???

What brands of cake frostings that can be purchased at a regular storeare GFCF? What flavors???

We have been GFCF since 2000 and have been living mainly on the Ener-GTapioca loaf for sandwiches and toast since all homemade versions were(understandably) rejected by our son.

Now I see that Bob’s Red Mill makes a GF bread mix that has directionsfor home made and bread machine versions and I would like to getfeedback from people on the list whose children like firm white breadslike the EnerG Tapioca loaf. Also, if you need super consistnece inquality is it worth investing in a bread machine or am I better offcontinuing to stick with the store bought bread?

Also, years agopeople used to complain that there were crosscontamination issues with flours from Bob’s Red Mills - is that stillan issue?

This may sound like a stupid question but I am going nuts. I am tryingto collect urine of my 23 month old who is in diapers. I am using aurine collection thing that has a hole for the penis and sticks to theside. But the urine seems to go everywhere except inside. It isdriving me nuts. What am I doing wrong?

My 2 year old had been diagnosed with autistic spectrum recently. Heis in Speech & Occupational therapy; and we see progress. We alsostarted the diet, but not very strict just yet; trying to expand hisfood choices before we take some of them away. He’s not on anysupplements, and I don’t feel comfortable trying stuff without medicaladvice. Our pediatrician said that he doesn’t advocate alternativemedicine, thus we can’t get any help from him. I need to find a DANdoctor in the area - we live in Detroit metro/Northwest suburbs.

I have my 7 year old on 250mg vit c, 75mg zinc, 1500 mg Taurine, 3chewable Zyme Prime and 2 No Fenol per day along with Epsom salt bathsin the evening. He started complaining about a stomach ache twicethis morning. Am I giving him too much of something? I started outslow and worked our way up. I also have Peptizide AFP on the way aswell. Maybe that will make a difference. I just don’t want to take achance that I might be hurting my son in some way. The enzymes andetc is so new to me. Any suggestions?

Before the GFCF diet, my son would only eat very few select foods. He wouldonly eat McDonald’s nuggets, not the ones I made at home. When I startedthe GFCF diet, I also started him on a regimen of olive leaf extract andthat really seemed to increase his appettite for other foods. Somethingabout the magnesium that helps. I would sneak it in the very first bite ofapplesauce. Now he’ll actually eat completely unseasoned, unbreaded chickenbreast, pork chops, and many other meats that I bake at home! He would eventolerate salad for a short period of time. However, lately I have also hada problem with getting veggies into my son’s diet. I’ve started juicingthem. I throw in broccoli, carrots and an apple and he’ll drink it. Itdoesn’t produce much liquid, but it is chock full of vitamins, so getttinghim to drink a couple of swallows isn’t too bad. Besides, the apple coversmost of the taste from the other veggies. You could maybe add organic honeyor cane sugar for taste. Make sure to put it in a cup that’s not clear.Maybe use a lid and a straw. My son was turned off by the color (peagreen!). Juicers have gotten pretty affordable. I actually use the MagicBullet (as seen on tv). It’s not the greatest juicer, but it works.

We gave my son some goat’s milk on teh advise of our DAN and it was abig mistake. within hours he was stimming(had not done that in months ) and hisnose strated running. Its a month now and the effects are wearing out but I wishwe hadnt done that.
