Help! diarrhea after removing gluten??

we started this diet a few months ago and have gone gradually/trying diffproducts,etc.. - we were pretty much casein free over the past many weeks, altho my twochildren were getting some gluten/casein at school (school and I still trying toget onsame page). As of Monday, we added Gluten (altho they’ve gotten very littlethesepast few weeks).. ..We have already seen some good changes with my dd - almostovernight finishing of potty training, better speech, using appropriate completesentences (BIG change for her, etc.) I’m SUPER encouraged, BUT as of Sun/Mon,bothkids have this icky, almost uncontrollable diarrhea. Could be a bug of course.BUT Ithought I’d heard (and makes sense to me) that some folks do have diarrhea as aside effect…any thoughts??? Or perhaps it;’s a reaction to one of the newfoods likespelt bread??

We did both cold turkey last May. And saw results right away. But we also got 2 weeks of AWFUL diarrhea, sour, mucousy…justyucky! Then he didn’t poop for about a week. Then he only pooped every 3to 4 days and it was MUSH.Now he has an impacted colon (that is getting resolved - YAY!)

Prior ot going GFCF he was constipated.

I just assumed it was from such a major change in diet. Thebenefits we saw far outweighed the bowel issues (that we can treat).

    Regarding Spelt -

You mentioned eating spelt bread. I’ve been Gluten Free for 15 years due to being a celiac, and have been advised not to eat spelt, as it contains gluten.

There’s some confusion on this, and please see the link below:
