Legume allergy

When we got our IgG test back on our daughter, tested high on both kidneyand lima beans. 3’s on scale of 1 to 3. Peanut was only 1. I want to startmaking some and a lot of parents say Tom’s bread recipe is great. But, it calls for chickpea flour. The IgG test doesn’t test that. So would youassume chickpeas are out too, or are there differences in them. andpeas tested negative.

Also what about garbanzo bean flours, which are in a LOT of the recipes. So Iam hoping I can use it. I’ve never made bead before so wanted to try somethingothers have tried and really liked.

Has anybody experience this?It will go away eventually? How long it took to go away in your case? After that your child was better than beforetreatment?

Glutathione asthma trigger reaction

Just wanted to post about my best friend’s ASD son being in the ERthis week. He has always had Exzema and food allergies (2 symptomsof asthma) but has never had an asthma attack.

His mom started him on the TD-Glutathione the other day and hestarted having an asthma attack. He was on Lipo-Glut for a littlewhile but complained that it made him feel funny so more than likelyit was working it’s way up to triggering an asthma attack but wasn’tas strong and the TD-Glut. Wellness Pharmacy said that triggeringAsthma attacks is a HUGE side effect of Glutathione.

This is something that is really new to me. My son has been on TD-Glut for 6+ months and we’ve never had a problem. Just a precautionto anyone who may start using it. If your child has severe foodallergies (not Gluten and casein intolerance) and exzema then checkinto it a little more. Will is deathly allergic to milk, eggs, andnuts (including seeds). That’s the food allergy I am referring to,not Gluten/casein intolerance.

He’s doing better now but looks like he’ll be having a lot ofbreathing treatments and medications for this for a while. She hadno idea that food allergies and exzema was a predisposition forasthma.

Help! diarrhea after removing gluten??

we started this diet a few months ago and have gone gradually/trying diffproducts,etc.. - we were pretty much casein free over the past many weeks, altho my twochildren were getting some gluten/casein at school (school and I still trying toget onsame page). As of Monday, we added Gluten (altho they’ve gotten very littlethesepast few weeks).. ..We have already seen some good changes with my dd - almostovernight finishing of potty training, better speech, using appropriate completesentences (BIG change for her, etc.) I’m SUPER encouraged, BUT as of Sun/Mon,bothkids have this icky, almost uncontrollable diarrhea. Could be a bug of course.BUT Ithought I’d heard (and makes sense to me) that some folks do have diarrhea as aside effect…any thoughts??? Or perhaps it;’s a reaction to one of the newfoods likespelt bread??

Constipation…yeast…pro-biotics…pass gas…

My son has constipation, also I believe that he has overgrowth. Started afew weeks, I fed him Pro-biotics, plus more fruite. Since then, there were twodays, his bowel movement was great. We thought constipation issue would go awaysoon. However it is not. Instead, he starts to pass gas, which he didn’t dobefore. Is this a good sign or bad sign, or doesn’t mean anything?

Tummy pain

I have my 7 year old on 250mg vit c, 75mg zinc, 1500 mg Taurine, 3chewable Zyme Prime and 2 No Fenol per day along with Epsom salt bathsin the evening. He started complaining about a twicethis morning. Am I giving him too much of something? I started outslow and worked our way up. I also have Peptizide AFP on the way aswell. Maybe that will make a difference. I just don’t want to take achance that I might be hurting my son in some way. The enzymes andetc is so new to me. Any suggestions?

Tummy ache/head ache… testing

Okay, I have been “starting to see the signs” of all this”allergy/intolerance” stuff now that I know what to look for more.

We are not on any of the diet yet, just experimenting with diary free/wheatfree products this week. My idea is to do “dairy free” first and see how thatworks.

I have a message in to ask his doctors for testing.

BUT HERE IS WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY…

Last night he “cleaned his plate”, but I am gathering with his conditions hedoesn’t know when he is full (we are just realizing THAT one) and then hewatched tv. well, he was HUNGRY so he asked for the “usual snacks”, which Idon’t have any “special snacks” yet except for the Cutie Frozen Treats which heloves. Sooo, he ate lots of pretzels and white bread toast. I know, I know, that sounds bad, but it’s his “usual”.

By the time it was time for bed, he complained of a “tummy ache”. Soo, LIGHTBULB, maybe it was the wheat???

This morning he woke up with “mommmmm, my tummy hurrrts” and “I have aheaddddache”.

After evaluating this I found that his “headache” is on the forehead belowhis hair line. And his tummy ache is around the belly button about hand size.No where else is hurting.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE AN INTOLERANCE HEADACHE AND TUMMYACHE????

I have a call into his doctor now and hopefully (fingers crossed) she willbe open to testing.

Someone said to get the…Urinary Peptides test and the Celiac Panel done FIRST before going on anydiet, so to have base line numbers to work with.

Is there anything else I should ask for in the beginning? I know I sawmessage about all these tests, sorry I didn’t keep it. Hmm, I wonder if Dana’ssite has all this on it? Sorry, I don’t have time to check right now. But wouldappreciate any “lists” that would be necessary to find out if James isintolerant to Dairy, Casien, Gluten, Wheat and of course, anything else, but that’swhat I’m thinking of right now.

ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Night time anxiety

My 7 year Asperger, ADHD, OCD son has been CF for 4 months and GF for 2 weeks. It is so amazing to see the change in him! Im getting my boy back. He is onceagain silly, smiling, and best of all actually happy.

My questions are:#1) Is it a “normal” reaction to become even more hyperactive? He has becomemore fidgety and restless….(but I’ll most certainly take that over sedated anddepressed). I was just wondering if it might actually be a withdrawl?????

#2) His night time anxiety has become a little more noticeable. We have triedthe Melatonin which made no difference. Warm baths with Lavender, lotion rubs, his favorite music (Enya), even moved his little sister in his room because heended up in her bed by morning anyway. Use a nightlight…..everything we canthink of. He still has anxiety over “bed time night” (as he calls it). Thereis not one defined thing he is afraid of like the dark or monsters under thebed. That would be too easy!Has anyone tried anything like aromatherapy or some sort of homeopathic “remedy”for peacefulness. I know that sound somewhat insane, but I have exhausted everyother possibility and my husband and I are zombies!!

Wierd poo

my son had undigested food in his poo. He is being treated for yeastand is on a few supliments. Is this normal?
