Has anyone heard of this IVIG Infusion, my son sees Dr.Levinson inMiami and he is my sons DAN doctor and he is suggesting we do this??

Can anyone tell me what a night terror is exactly. My 18 month old sonhas been waking up during the night 2-3 times crying hysterically. Hegoes back to sleep with me, but will not go back in his crib. This hasbeen happening for the past 3-4 weeks, he used to sleep through thenight, with the exception of waking for an early morning (4-5am)bottle. I’m also wondering if this could have anything to do with DMGsince it kind of coincides with starting him on DMG. He takes the kindwith folic acid and B vitamins added. I’d like to keep him on DMG b/che’s vocalizing more, shows more responsiveness to sound, waves bye bye,and has better eye contact on it. Or could this be 18 month oldseparation anxiety b/c he has also been getting upset a lot lately wheneither my husband or myself leave the room, which is very unusual forhim - normally he doesn’t seem to really notice.

i went up to full dose on spectrum, and he fell apart in one day. I havestopped it for over a week now,a nd his ocd and transition problems are throughthe roof, i have never saw him so bad. He doesnt seem sick, no fever etc. Hejust is so ocd and repetitive and falling apart and not wanting to change.

I started giving my son the mag sulf cream last night before bed.Rubbed it on his back. Up for 4 hrs. in the middle of the night. Wilddoes not even describe this child last night and today. We have beengfcf for a little over a month. He was with relatives yesterday and amwondering if a gluten infraction could have done this? Also has diarheatoday. Anyone have any ideas?

I haven’t given it to my daughter since we started the diet, but Ihave an egg salad recipie that everything else is safe for her.. butcan’t find any info miracle whip.. maybe I’m not seeing somethingsince we really just seriously started this diet about two weeks ago..though she’s been CF for just over a year now…

Does anyone else notice their child urinating alot more and having nightimeaccidents with enzymes. Everytime I start them, or a new one, my son peesconstantly, and has night accidents. Last night, i thought the hoover damnexploded in his room

Would anyone care to enlighten me as to how anti-virals affect our kidswith autism? I’ve read a lot about them from this group but I justdon’t understand the why of it all. Thanks so much.

Hope someone can help, Called my ped and asked if he would write ascript for IgG blood panel, he said it was an Ige blood panel thattested food intolerances. Does anyone know what the difference is? Weare supposed to get this done tommorow. T

I was hoping to get some advice regarding things I can do to try yoprevent autism happening again to our family. My daughter is 2 1/2 anddiagnosed with Autism. I am pregnant with twins due in May. What aresome steps I can take to try to limit the chances of this happeningagain? I know it’s not my fault my daughter has Autism but if thereare any types of things I can avoid doing or do I will do them just sothat if it does happen I can say I did everything in my power toprevent it.Any advice on diet, vaccinations, ANYTHING would be greatlyappreciated. I will be breastfeeding also so any hints there would behelpful as well.

We’ve been GFCF for a little over a year, and combined with ST, OT,Floortime and a dash of ABA, Eric (3.5, PDD-NOS) has been doinggreat. Stims had virtually stopped. Life was good.

Recently, Eric has started doing a “Stevie Wonder” thing with hishead and eyes. He seems to be doing it for a visual stim. Also, hebegan teeth grinding and hair twirling. Ped sees no infections (earor otherwise). Gastro-wise he’s fine. In fact, no colds for over 6mos.

Nothing had changed food-wise, as far as I could tell but I need todo more checking to see if some “old reliables” have changedingredients. But what did change was DS started a new SPED pre-school. He does great there and it seems the stims come out when hegets home. Our OT suggested a stress reaction and we increased theOT and relaxation techniques at home. (BTW, he does not eat thereand teacher is aware of GFCF, most kids there are on it.)

With the increased OT, the hair pulling is down now, but the teethgrinding is up. The visual stim seems an ingrained habit now. Ourdoc suggested using ABA, but we hesitate.

Is there a common food related source for these stims? DS does geta little soy in soy yogurt. Drinks Darifree and sometimes rice milkfor his milk. I just don’t know why he would do fine for a year andsuddenly have the stim if it is a food thing.

I wondered if his growing could have something to do with it. He’srecently gotten bigger. I thought maybe I should up his vits. Ihad been giving him omegas (children’s DHA, Nordic brand), mannatechmulti, a probiotic, and extra calcium. I had been dosing for under4. He’ll be 4 in April, but is as big as a 4 yr. old. I’ve alsoordered some samples of the Brainchild supps. DS did terrible onSupernuthera (B’s made him nuts) , but the Brainchild has differentformulations, so I thought I’d give it a go.

Anyway, wondered if a food source could be at issue here, or justeveryone’s thoughts.
